Stop the world–I wanna get off

That’s it! I turn in my membership to this planet. I dont’ wanna be here any more. I want off.

No, I’m not suicidal but I’m sick of having a kid who can’t stop screaming at 2 am over nothing. And I’m sick of kids who have no idea what they wanna be when they grow up and I’m sick to death of the depression that’s running around my house.

Plus today my cat didn’t show up so I’m probably short one cat.

Not the best day in the world. Really wish I could be happy for the cousin who just had a baby. She invited me to the birth but with the kid screaming and the cat gone and everyone depressed, I didn’t want to drive the 30 miles one more time.

Guess I will tomorrow though to get pictures.

Maybe the cat will show up by then too. Stranger things have happened. Sure not like her to show up on a hot day to get inside though.

Been Gone Awhile

I’ve been gone awhile and I’m not sure I’m back yet. I’m not sure I’ve got any readers anyway except for spammers so I’m not sure it matters none.

There’s been a lot goin’ on and now I’m sittin’ here without transportation so I thought I’d catch y’all up a bit.

So, I ain’t dead yet.

But I still don’t have much to write.

The deer are runnin’ and the weather’s got cold. Everything’s froze over and I can’t wait till spring.

I just don’t like it when the world looks dead. And that’s what it does right now.

Oh, well. Spring’s a comin’!

I Don’t Like Being Angry

Angry ain’t my nature. It just ain’t.

Well, some time back a couple of folks at church took exception to the preacher and tried to fire ‘im.

Didn’t work but they said at the time that they’d never darken our doors again if we kept ‘im.

We kept ‘im.

They’re still there–sorta.

Well, the one’s daughter was goin’ with a guy who was offended by the preacher. So offended he wasn’t coming back anywho.

Well, the girl was goin’ to school several hours away.

And then got a job several hours away teachin’ school.

And married the offended young’un.

And now lives in another state.

Well, they just had a baby.

AND OUR CHURCH IS GIVIN’ THEM A BABY SHOWER!!!!

I’m mad.

I’m wors’n mad.

Why in the SamHill would you keep your church membership somewhere where you don’t live in the first place much less accept a baby shower from folks that like a preacher you hate?

They live 6 hours from here for cryin’ out loud!

No, I’m not goin’ and no, I’m not sending a gift.

The whole thing’s crazy!

I Can’t Do A Thing!

It’s too windy to go out and do anything in the yard or garden.

Why Do I Do This?

I never used to read blogs.

I never understood why anyone would blog.

Now I have blogs.

I surf blogs.

I found a good blog.

And then I went in and she said that this baby was in the hospital.

So, I went over there and looked.

It’s a baby who has a horrible heart condition and isn’t doing well at all.

It almost looks like God’s going to call him home.

So, why am I so attracted to reading other people’s misery?

May God heal this precious babe and carry his suffering mama and papa and sibs.
